Terry Shook, RHU, CEBS, President of Primum Risk Strategies, Inc. has 40+ years of employee benefits and commercial insurance experience as a highly accomplished and innovative benefits executive with extensive leadership expertise in sales, sales strategy, business development, marketing, product development and management, and benefits platform development, working with a wide range of employers from small businesses to major national employers. He helped build an Illinois-licensed Health Insurance Company for a regional health system and has provided strategy consulting to a top five national health insurance carrier. He has created and executed innovative customer/provider engagement strategies, and constructed Group Medicare programs for a major carrier including building a comprehensive product portfolio. Terry has also developed a digitally based sales channel for small employers for a leading Blue Cross plan. Don Daniels, MBA
Don Daniels, MBA worked his way up from staff Radiologic Technologist at a small urgent care center to System Chief Operating Officer at a fully integrated healthcare provider system including 2 hospital locations, a full-service home health care agency, multi-specialty / multi-location medical group, Independent physician network, level 2 Trauma Center, and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Don has extensive experience providing leadership within healthcare organizations with widely varying and very different economic demands including a HMO, a Federally Qualified Health Center, a for profit hospital, a not-for-profit teaching hospital, physician resident training sites, ambulatory surgery centers, and home health care agencies. He has managed regulatory issues and negotiated with regulatory agencies on behalf of traditional health care systems. He has managed medical revenue cycle operations and negotiated contracts for medical groups, hospitals, and health plans. He is an expert in hospital / physician payment methodologies, having managed full risk value-based care settings and Fee For Service only settings and everything in between. Don now uses his extensive background in hospital / health care leadership to help employers of all sizes understand the misaligned incentives within the status quo health system and provide strategies that reduce health care costs and improve patient safety for employees and their families.
